MIXING ENGINEER
Jordan Criddle has been recording, mixing, and mastering music professionally since 2012. He has always had a love for music and began writing and recording his own material in middle school. Beyond writing lyrics, he also learned to play the trumpet starting in 4th grade. Based in Kansas City, his engineering career began with working with new local artists which really allowed him to train and learn the art of mixing music. Through creating a community online with platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, Jordan now mixes for artists all over the world.
How did music become your passion?
“When I was a kid, there were plenty of times at my Dad’s where we didn’t have cable so he used to just play music or watch music videos that he recorded. When I think about memories from back then I can always hear music playing. I also associate every sound, letter, and number to colors. So with engineering, I’m able to manipulate each element of a song to match the color/tone that I see/hear.”
What type of music do you make?
“I record and mix (and sometimes master) rap / hip hop / r&b music.”
What other hobbies do you have?
“I’m a father now so I constantly asked to be all kinds of things that my daughter can climb/jump/hit on. So I love that. I am a husband. Simply put, my wife is my best friend and encourages me to be uncomfortable. That’s whre growth lives. She supports my vision 100% and she’s nice with the camera! I am also into health and fitness so being active is a must for me.”
Anything else you want your fans to know about you?
“Never quit. Ever.”
